PostHog is an open-source product analytics platform. It provides product-led teams with everything they need to understand user behavior, including funnels, session recording, user paths, multivariate testing, feature flags, heat maps, and more. PostHog can be deployed to the cloud, or self-hosted on existing infrastructure, removing the need to send data externally.
Posthog features a great combination of traditional and UX analytics options to completely understand your users. Because it’s open-source software it is very flexible and has a large community built around it.
Posthog is a great option if you are looking for a well-rounded product analytics tool. It has a good free plan which comes with quite a lot of features. Because it is open-source it is flexible, but the self-hosted option does require a lot of technical skills to implement.
We classified PostHog as Product Analytics. In addition, PostHog is open source software.
