1 minute reading time

Also called: event measurement

Event tracking is a method within web analytics to not only record the pages viewed, but also register other interactions and associated characteristics. Such as which buttons and links someone clicks. This provides interesting statistics about the use of your website and the behavior of visitors.

The results of event tracking can be used, among other things, for optimizing texts and designing pages for conversion and reducing friction. Event tracking can also be used to analyze app usage. Event tracking is often used in combination with A/B testing.
