About Microsoft Clarity

Clarity is a free, easy-to-use tool that captures how real people actually use your site. Setup is easy and you’ll start getting data in minutes. Clarity instant heatmaps: See at a glance which areas on your page drive the most engagement and how far your visitors scroll. Session recordings: Watch how people use your site. Find out what’s working, learn what needs to be fixed, and test out new ideas. Insights: Quickly discover user frustration and turn these problems into opportunities.

What makes Microsoft Clarity unique?

Unlike other User Experience analytics tools Clarity is completely free to use. It integrates well with Google Analytics and forms a great addition to it. Its custom “tagging” provides a lot of flexibility for filtering the right session recordings or heatmaps. This provides you with granular analytics capabilities to get the insights you need.

      What do you like?

It does everything that you would expect a analytics tool to do and if you're running Microsoft ads campaigns it has a good integration with the platform. In addition, it is easy to set-up.

      What do you dislike?

As mentioned on this website, it is a bit limited to insights compared to other tools. So if you’re really going for very in depth analyses, it might be better to use other tools.
