Cookiebot and CookieYes alternatives: 6 consent platforms compared

In Data Privacy Regulation1 minute reading time

Cookiebot and CookieYes are two of the most used consent management platforms (CMPs), but they aren’t the only good options. Cookiebot’s free plan stops at 50 subpages and one domain, and its paid plans (from €7 per month) go up with the number of subpages on your site. CookieYes’s free plan covers 5,000 page views a month, and IAB TCF only comes with its Pro plan (€23 per domain per month). If either of those limits pinches, it’s worth looking around. Below are six alternatives that work well for EU websites in 2026, with what each one costs and what you get for it. Prices and features are taken from each vendor’s own pricing page in October 2026.

What to check before you switch

For an EU website that runs Google Ads or GA4, check these before you look at banner designs:

  • Google-certified CMP: Publishers using AdSense, Ad Manager or AdMob need a Google-certified CMP integrated with the IAB TCF to serve personalised ads in the EEA and the UK (since January 2024) and Switzerland (since July 2024). All six tools below are on that list, as are Cookiebot and CookieYes.
  • Google Consent Mode v2: Needed to keep measurement and remarketing in Google Ads and GA4 working for EEA visitors. Read more in our Consent Mode glossary entry.
  • IAB TCF: Only relevant if you sell ad space or work with ad tech vendors that read the TCF consent string. IAB Europe published TCF specifications v2.4 in July 2026, with a deadline of 23 October 2026 for CMPs on the web. Vendors still label their support as 2.2, 2.3 or 2.4 on their pricing pages, so ask which version is live if TCF matters to you.

CookieScript

  • Who it fits: Small and mid-sized sites that want a cheap, simple CMP with a usable free plan.
  • Google-certified CMP: Yes (listed as Cookie Script CMP, CMP ID 374).
  • Consent Mode v2: Included on all plans, including Free.
  • IAB TCF: TCF 2.3 integration, only on the Plus plan.
  • Pricing: Lite €9, Standard €19 and Plus €29 per domain per month (excl. VAT). Plus has a 14-day free trial.
  • Free plan: 1 domain, 10 pages scanned and 10,000 page views per month, with CookieScript branding.
  • Limits: Automatic monthly scans start at Standard; Lite has no scheduled scans.

CookieScript also has its own Meta Pixel consent mode integration. We compared it head to head in CookieYes vs. CookieScript. Try CookieScript.

CookieFirst

CookieFirst now belongs to iubenda (part of team.blue), but it is still sold as its own product with its own plans.

  • Who it fits: Businesses that want a European CMP with consent statistics and white label options at a low price per domain.
  • Google-certified CMP: Yes (CookieFirst CMP, CMP ID 382).
  • Consent Mode v2: Yes, plus Microsoft UET Consent Mode for Microsoft Ads.
  • IAB TCF: Only on the Plus plan.
  • Pricing: Basic €9 and Plus €19 per domain per month, or €99 and €209 per domain per year (excl. VAT). Enterprise on request.
  • Free plan: Yes, banner only: 1 third-party script, a one-time scan and one language. Paid plans have a two-week free trial without a payment method.
  • Limits: Plans have a soft limit on page views per domain per month; above that, CookieFirst asks you to contact them for a custom offer. Consent audit trails and scanner settings are Plus only.

Complianz

  • Who it fits: WordPress sites. Complianz is a WordPress plugin (there is a separate Shopify app), so it isn’t an option for other platforms.
  • Google-certified CMP: Yes (Complianz CMP, CMP ID 332).
  • Consent Mode v2: Built in, according to the plugin’s FAQ, and listed on all premium plans.
  • IAB TCF: Premium only.
  • Pricing: Personal $59 per year for 1 site, Professional $179 for 5 sites, Agency $399 for 25 sites, all billed yearly.
  • Free plan: The free plugin on WordPress.org (over 1 million active installs) includes the cookie banner and an automatic cookie scan.
  • Limits: Records of consent, A/B testing, multisite and TCF need Premium. If you stop renewing, features that rely on third-party updates, such as TCF, stop working.

Termly

  • Who it fits: Small sites that want policies and a banner in one tool and can live with TCF only on the top plan.
  • Google-certified CMP: Yes (Termly CMP, CMP ID 412).
  • Consent Mode v2: Basic support on Free and Starter, advanced support on Pro+.
  • IAB TCF: TCF 2.3, only on Pro+.
  • Pricing: Starter $10 and Pro+ $15 per website per month, billed annually. Agency plans are custom.
  • Free plan: 1 basic legal policy, 10,000 banner views per month, quarterly cookie scans and the script auto blocker.

Comparing Cookiebot and CookieYes themselves

If you’re on one of the two and wondering about the other, we compared them in Cookiebot vs. CookieYes. Both are Google-certified CMPs (Cookiebot CMP ID 134, CookieYes CMP ID 401). Cookiebot is part of Usercentrics: Cookiebot is aimed at small and mid-sized businesses, the Usercentrics CMP at enterprise. CookieYes has paid plans from €9 per domain per month (Basic, 100,000 page views) and includes Consent Mode v2 on every plan, including Free.

Conclusion

For most small EU websites, CookieScript and CookieFirst are the closest like-for-like alternatives: per-domain pricing from €9 a month, Consent Mode v2 included and Google certified. On WordPress, Complianz is hard to beat on price. iubenda and Termly make sense if you also want your legal policies generated, but check the page-view caps and which plan you really need. Didomi is for larger organisations with many domains or apps.

Whichever you pick, test the setup after switching: check that tags wait for consent and that Consent Mode signals reach Google. For the legal background, see our articles on the cookie law and GDPR for website owners.
