A page view is the retrieval and display of an individual web page. During a visit to a website, several pages are usually viewed in succession. Each time a page is requested we can speak of a pageview or pageview.
Pageviews can be measured with web analytics tools such as Google Analytics. Such web statistics software typically uses cookies to link page views to session visits and unique visitors.
