1 minute reading time

A data warehouse is a central repository for structured data collected from various sources.

The purpose of a data warehouse is to support business decisions through analysis of historical data and trending of data over time.

For example, a retail company can collect data about sales, customer data and inventory data and store it in a data warehouse. This allows them to analyze trends and patterns, such as the effect of certain marketing campaigns on sales figures.
